Antonio Conte Promises to Make Napoli Fans Proud as Club Pays Tribute to Late Young Mascot in Emotional Pre-Season Gathering
During Napoli’s pre-season event in Dimaro, the club head coach Antonio Conte and captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo shared heartfelt messages with over 5,500 devoted fans, a mountain town where the team usually holds training camps.
The feeling was electric as the current Serie A champions proudly unveiled the Scudetto trophy and their new kits which enhanced with the craved championship badge. Napoli marks their second Serie A championship just in three seasons, having lifted their first trophy in 2023, which was briefly paused by Inter Milan in 2024.
With a powerful message of commitment and pride, Conte stepped into the limelight to fascinate the crowd.
“It’s superb to see you all again, this time with the Scudetto proudly displayed on our chest. Everyone who put on this shirt must realize the responsibility it carries. We will leave the pitch with drenched sweat shirts, for you. We will continue to give in our everything, no matter the result.”
Captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo has honoured the late Danielino, a 13-year-old fan and also unofficial team mascot who lost his battle with leukemia in January 2025. The night wasn’t just a celebration of success; but it was also filled with heartfelt memories. Danielino had been an unforgettable and morale-boosting presence at Napoli’s training sessions since 2023.
“This retreat doesn’t feels same without Danielino.” Di Lorenzo shared. “He was a fighter—his bravery and spirit fueled us with strength. I want to send a heartfelt embrace to his family,”
