Liverpool’s Federico Chiesa Urged to Seek Move Amidst National Team Warning

Federico Chiesa urged to consider a move for more regular game time

Federico Chiesa, 27year old Italian player, who joined Liverpool from Juventus last summer, is eager to leave Anfield in order to find a regular playing time as his future at Liverpool remains unclear. He reportedly keen to remain at the club but doesn’t want to be a backup player.

Chiesa made just six Premier League appearances without a goal or assists, as he found it difficult to secure a regular place in the team last season. This lack of game time is has been a big problem to him, especially as new signings like Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike has joined the team, it set to increase the competition for attacking positions.

Italian reports claim that the national team manager Gennaro Gattuso has made it clear to Chiesa that he must have regular playing time for him to be considered for international call-ups. As a result, the winger is now considering a possible move, with a return to a top Series A side that’s also in European competitions as his preferred choice.

Napoli are reportedly the most interested party, though clubs like AC Milan, Inter Milan, and Roma are also potential destinations. Liverpool are said to be open to a departure and would consider a loan deal with an option to buy next summer for a “modest fee.”
