Welcome to London: Brazilian Star Estevão Arrives at Chelsea

Brazilian starlet Estevão has officially arrived at Cobham to begin his career with Chelsea. The 18-year-old winger, is now joining his new teammates as Blues begins pre-season training, after a move from Palmeiras was agreed more than a year ago.

Estevão’s career has skyrocketed since the transfer was first announced, establishing himself as a key player for Palmeiras and earned his senior cap for Brazil last September.

Ever since then, He has made five appearances for his national team in competitive World Cup qualifiers. The young star also played in the Club World Cup this summer, where he famously scored against Chelsea in the quarterfinals.

On his first day with the club, Estevão expressed his enthusiasm about the move “I am very happy, it feels very rewarding to represent Chelsea, one of the biggest clubs in the world,” he said. “I hope to help the team in the best way possible.”

He made 83 first-team appearances for Palmeiras and several international caps, and has already shown he can handle pressure of the top-level football, despite his young age, Estevão arrived at Stamford Bridge with valuable senior-level experience.

Estevão mentioned that he used the waiting period to prepare for this moment, saying, “I am very, very excited. I have worked hard and have done my best to get here in the best shape possible. It is a new experience in my life, a new stage.”
